Does Backroads require proof of age?

Yes, per California State Liquor Laws every guest must be checked for proof of age. No guest under 21 will be served NO EXCEPTIONS. Bartender(s) will be responsible for requesting proper identification and providing 21+ wristbands, ensuring that no underage patrons purchase/consume alcohol from the bar.

Does Backroads provide alcohol?

No, under current packages we do not provide alcoholic. Bartender(s) are only permitted to serve the alcohol. It is the sole responsibility of the client to acquire “Purchase” any Alcohol (Beer, Spirits, Liquors and Wines) that will be served during the event. However, we do assist in the acquisition of the alcohol by providing beverage consultation which provides you with a calculated list of required alcohol based ingredients based on your customized menu and the number of expected guests .

Does Backroads provide insurance, permits and licenses?

  • Yes we provide a general Liquor Liability Insurance for each event, as well as require all contracted Bartenders to carry Liquor Liability Insurance

  • Backroads Mobile Bar does not carry a California State Liquor License to sell alcohol to clients or at events, it is the sole responsibility of the client to acquire “Purchase” any Alcohol (Beer, spirits, Liquors and Wines) that will be served during the event.

  • It is the sole responsibility of the client to obtain event permits required for corporate or large scale event. 

What are Backroads prices based on?

  • Based Package “Starting Fee” is based on the minimum requirements for servicing all parties/events. Additions or adjustments may be made to base package depending on client needs. *I.e. “Bar rental” line item may be removed if the client or venue provides a bar/work station that is approved prior to event.

  • Per Guest Fee includes all fees associated with mixers, garnishes and supplies for servicing each guest.

Does Backroads require a deposit?

A deposit of 40% of the total contract amount is needed to confirm the booking of this event. Events booked within seven days of the event require payment in full.

Can I cancel or re-schedule my event?

Yes, you have up to 14 days prior to the event to cancel. You may re-schedule your event and transfer your deposit over to the new date.

  • Cancellation Notice over 14 days prior to event: Full refund of deposit   

  • Cancellation Notice 7 to 14 days prior to event: 50% refund of deposit  

  • Cancelation Notice less than 7 days prior to event: no refund of deposit  

  • Rescheduling up to 14 days prior to the event will be completed free of charge and your deposit will transfer over to the new date

  • Rescheduling 14 -7 days prior to the event will be completed with a convenience charge of $30.00 and your deposit will transfer over to the new date

  • Rescheduling less than 7 days prior to the event will be completed with a convenience charge of $30.00, perishable fees may apply and your deposit will transfer over to the new date

Is gratuity included?

No, gratuity is not included in the contract. Gratuity may be expressed by permitting our bartenders to place a tip jar in the bar area or you may provide a cash gratuity directly to the bartender at the end of the event.

Is there a minimum amount of time required?

Yes, we require a 3 hour minimum to book.

How many bartenders do I need?

Per industry standard, we require 1 bartender and 1 bar back for every 50-75 guests based upon the types of drinks you plan to serve.

Can I provide the mixers or garnishes?

No, in order for Backroads to ensure the highest quality as well as ensure the health and safety of all guest, we provided all garnishes and mixers.
